Scott Back to Rails

It’s been a long time since I’ve worked on a Rails project, but it feels good to finally get back to Ruby on Rails.

Last time I was working on it ListFinity was in pretty good shape and just missing a few features (like user authentication). I still use a version of it at home on a daily basis, and it’s been “good enough” there for so long that I let things slide.

Time for an upgrade to Rails 2. In fact, I think I’ll probably rewrite most of the app (which was reasonably simple); it feels like I need a good reintroduction to Rails anyway.

So here goes! This seemed like as good a reason as any to start using this blog for its original purpose again, a journal of my personal web development project work. And maybe I’ll write about my observations on Rails, JavaScript, etc. along the way.
