Scott JavaScript RegExp Tool Available

There are times when I just need to process some text quickly and efficiently. Regular Expressions are very well suited to this task, and now I’ve released my own JavaScript Regular Expressions tool for just this purpose.

By default, the regex and replacement fields are filled with a pattern to indent text by adding another tab at the start of each line. I find this useful when cleaning up sections of nested code.

However you can fill in your own values to accomplish just about any regular expressions processing task on your text. Paste in your text to be filtered, write a new regex pattern, edit the replacement text, change flags if needed, and hit Replace. Your processed text will appear below, and be selected automatically for easy copy & paste!

If you are looking for more information on how to use regular expressions, check out my JavaScript RegExp Tutorial.

If you have questions, or ideas on how this tool could be improved, let me know in the comments!
